As you can see from the photo, the lovely builders are getting on well with the roof repair and redoing our ceiling inside within the next couple of days… 🤞🤞🤞… with the weather being so damp and job being slightly bigger than anticipated, we will reopen with a slight delay on Wed 8th January at 9am.
We do apologize for this, there’s never a good time to get these things done, but it won’t be too long now.
As our kitchen part won’t be quite ready until the weekend, we will operate with the reduce menu between Wed - Fri, but hoping we will be back to our full service this weekend. 🤞🤞🤞
We will reopen on Wed 8th January and offer hot soup soup & farmhouse toasties, plus all the other usual offerings of pastries, sausage rolls & cakes and hot & cold drinks. We will be using disposable cups & plates as the space for the clean up is limited.
Please bare with us while this work continues to improve the cafe and we will be soon back to our usual full service.
In the meantime, hope we see some of you from Wednesday! Open as usual 9-3.30pm.

What's on at Elm?
We are a family run children’s farm, farm shop, café and nursery in Sutton Green, Surrey. Elm Nursery has been in Sutton Green for over 30 years – quite an incredible achievement! The family run establishment (Mum Rita, Emma and Katie) has adapted to changes in demand over the years but has also maintained strong values. You can find out more about us here.
Children's Farm
Open every day : 10am – 3.30pm – last entry 3pm. No need to pre book.
We have many animals including alpacas, goats, Shetland ponies, pigs, ducks, chickens, rabbits, guinea pigs and more! We even have a delightful donkey called Applejack who is very friendly. Our chickens are free roaming and food to feed them can be purchased for £1.
Nursery plants
Open every day from 10am – 4pm.
Our family run plant nursery stocks excellent quality and great value British grown plants from bedding stock to fruit trees. We are well known locally for our superb hanging baskets and have a loyal repeat customer base.
Gift Shop
Open every day from 10am -4pm
Visit our fantastic gift shop with a huge range of unique gifts and cards. We also have a range of foodie treats from The Garlic Farm and much, much more!
Cafe
Opening hours: Tuesday – Sunday: 9am – 3:30pm.
Elm Farm Café is an independently run café serving homemade lunches, light bites, cakes and coffee. The summer menu has freshly made sandwiches, toasties and wraps as well as other delicious snacks and treats. Elm Farm Café serves excellent fresh coffee and homemade cakes. There is also the popular ‘Little Farmers’ lunch box for children.
School visits
We are pleased to be able to accommodate school visits to the children’s farm.
Parties
Elm Nursery has private party area within our children’s farm that is available to hire. It has a covered outdoor area and a fenced grass area, both with plenty of seating.
Pet boarding
Elm Nursery offers boarding for your guinea pig or rabbit whilst you are on holiday. Boarding is available from February – November each year.
Seasonal events
We often have special events on including at Easter, Halloween and Christmas. These events may include fun on the Children’s farm in fancy dress for Halloween or an Egg hunt for Easter.
